Heritage Coast market Towns Initiative (HCMTI) and Suffolk Business Hub (SBH) pride themselves on delivering great business support and connections in Suffolk. With regular programmes of networking events and workshops, each organisation constantly advocates the power of good business relationships so how better to demonstrate that working together really delivers dividends than by joining forces to deliver a workshop on the absolutely essential business skill; public speaking or ‘getting your message across’.
HCMTI, centred on the wonderful Suffolk Heritage Coast, came into being as an umbrella support for local towns’ business associations. The isolation and constant demands on the voluntary time of the Chair and committee members of each association was compromising the position and purpose of them as drivers in the local economy and community. Sharing ideas, resources and strengths through HCMTI has seen individual associations under the umbrella flourish along with the vibrancy of their towns.
Jenny Stockman, co-ordinator of SBH commented, “the easily accessible local connections that HCMTI has on the ground in the whole area it covers are second to none. We heard their memberships were keen to enhance their confidence and presentation skills to grow their businesses. It was an easy ask for us to partner with HCMTI to deliver this event, which we are confident will be the first of many.”
Both organisations are proud to work closely with Suffolk Chamber of Commerce and MENTA to ensure that a broad spectrum of advice and support is easily signposted.
